Scenic Design for Senior Distinction Thesis
Directed by María Zurita Ontiveros for Senior Distinction Thesis
Duke University Department of Theater Studies Mainstage, Spring 2021
Reynolds Industries Theater
This is a border zone. Corinth thrives but poverty and loss lie just beyond its walls. Medea, an immigrant, left her family and homeland to follow Jason. Despite this sacrifice, he does to her a great injustice: he abandons her to marry a Greek princess, condemning Medea and their two children to deportation. Follow Medea as she decides to take justice into her own hands.
This was a live, masked, socially distant show with no audience, live-streamed April 15, 17, 18 2021.
